Our History
1946
Elmore Electric is launched by Williard Elmore. The first clients were mostly farmers, some of who (and their families) remain customers to this day.
1970's
Don Elmore returns from Vietnam where he served as a helicopter pilot. Don pursues his education at the University of Illinois and works with his father at Elmore Electric.
1981
A new chapter begins for Elmore Electric as Don Elmore purchases Elmore Electric from Williard, his father.
1993
Elmore Electric moves to its new building at 205 North Street in Dover.
1994
A third generation: Aaron Elmore, Don’s son, begins working full-time at Elmore Electric. Aaron is later joined by brothers Chuck, Chris, Daniel and Mark as well as sisters Hannah and Emma.
2001
Elmore purchases Fritz Heating and Air and changes the name to Elmore Heating and Air.
2018
The legacy continues: Alex Elmore, 4th generation Elmore, begins working at Elmore.
